How far along? 30 weeks! Wow.
Due Date: January 6, 2013.
Due Date: January 6, 2013.
Total weight gain/loss: +1 this week, for a grand total of 16 lbs gained so far.
Maternity clothes? Oh yes. I have been favoring a certain pair of cozy maternity khakis, and may or may not be wearing them about three out of five work days right now.
Sleep: It comes and goes. I tend to have a couple nights in a row where I don't sleep very well, and then I'm tired enough to have a night or two of great sleep. I have to wake up at least once each night to use the bathroom.
Best moment this week: Being able to go out on a movie date with Justin to see Argo (great movie!). We're trying to squeeze in some fun nights out before Reid comes.
Movement: Oh my gosh, so much movement. It's like he doesn't sleep in there!
Food cravings: I still want my pumpkin bread, but have been too lazy to make it. Soon.
Food aversions: None, really. My body still doesn't love tomato products right now, though. I get heartburn and reflux if I have too much pizza, spaghetti sauce, or anything of that sort.
Gender: It's a boy! Reid William Vaughan.
Labor Signs: Still having some Braxton Hicks contractions, but they are infrequent. They seem to be brought on by exercise or holding my gigantic 30-pound Colin for more than a minute at a time.
Belly Button in or out? Still in, but getting a little more shallow.
What I miss: Not getting heartburn most evenings.
What I am looking forward to: Halloween! Colin is going to trick or treat for the first time, at a local church event. He's our little Superman this year. We did a trial run over the weekend to see how he'd tolerate his costume. Isn't he the cutest little superhero you've ever seen?
Milestones: Per my What to Expect app: Your baby's brain is working overtime these days, developing faster than ever. Connections between individual nerve cells are growing at a frenetic clip, and your baby can now perceive information from all five senses. He is definitely growing in there. I feel like my whole abdomen has been taken over by my uterus, which isn't a huge feat, considering I have a really short frame to begin with. From here on out, I'm guessing my belly will start growing outwards instead of upwards! My organs are definitely rearranging in there, as I'm getting heartburn and reflux pretty often from the limited space in my esophagus.
