I feel like it's been too long since I've linked up with Melissa at Growing Up Geeky for her Toddle Along Tuesday blog hop! This week's topic is July 4th.
This year, we had an uneventful holiday, which I was thankful for. Sometimes you just need to relax, you know? The hubs went to a matinee movie with his brother while Emily, our niece, stayed with Colin and me at our house. I took the kids on a wagon ride, Colin napped, we had some lunch, and we played some more until the guys got home.
We didn't go to any cool fireworks shows or anything, as we've been trying to keep Colin's bedtime routine as consistent as possible, but I did step outside once he was tucked in to catch a glimpse of the neighbor's over the top private fireworks show. It was a good day.
This is from Colin's first July 4th. Oh, what a difference a year makes!
